My community group is working our way through I Corinthians and as we studied chapter 4 we talked about the importance of testing what pastors/teachers say against the Word (our responsibility) and pastors/teachers...

On the way home from church today I was very aware of the fact that my car was running on fumes.  I’m pretty sure I made it over the hill on prayer alone.  I pulled into a gas station only to discover it was closed.  I pulled into another gas station, and waited in line for 5 minutes before I found out their card machine was down, so I couldn’t actually buy gas there.  I barely made it...

st-rita: … heart..squeezing…. lungs feel funny… brain melting…can’t…handle…this…much…beauty. Anyway. Great mini-interview from my favorite composer and a sneak peak of one of his new pieces. Oh.  October has always been one of my favorite band pieces.  This choral arrangement has made it worship.  Absolutely beautiful.

I find this incredibly encouraging as I...

Like the choir director or something.  And then he, like, tried to be better than God so God kicked him out?” While not Biblically correct, I know several choir directors, and I...

In Acts 17:16-34, Paul is teaching the Athenians about how God wants to be known, just as he knows us.  Though his ways are beyond what we can imagine, that doesn’t stop or discourage God from making himself known.  The Athenians, however, had at least one altar with the inscription, “To an unknown god”.  Paul is making the distinction between unknown, unknowing, and unknowable...
