My students are studying early explorers and expansion into North America, and I’m really excited to do this project with them. We will be watching The Mission in class, and then they will have a few essays in response to the movie. Following the movie they will do a one page reflection that asks them to write as if they were a character in the movie. It’s my hope that this film will create affective learning as well as factual learning.
