“Milestones” by Miles Davis on Milestones
Miles Davis wrote Milestones in 1958, and it has since become a jazz standard. It was a kind of precursor to “So What” from Kind of Blue. The album, Milestones, contains some of Miles’s first ventures into modal jazz, a type of jazz based on scales other than major or minor (modes).
