Hot House played by Arturo Sandoval on Hot House
Arturo Sandoval is a trumpeter, pianist, and composer in Latin and Afro-Cuban jazz. Though born in Cuba, he defected to the United States while touring with Dizzy Gillespie, one of his musical heroes. He is know for his ability to play in the extreme upper range of the trumpet.
Hot House is a bebop standard by Tadd Dameron with the same harmonic structure as Cole Porter’s “What is This Thing Called Love?”
