“Cheek to Cheek” by Ahmad Jamal on Ahmad’s Blues
Ahmad Jamal is a jazz pianist, composer, and educator. He is known for his creativity with harmony, as can be heard in the left hand of this recording (the part that sounds a little like a boss battle).
“Cheek to Cheek” was written by Irving Berlin for the movie Top Hat in 1935 with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It quickly became part of the Great American Songbook.
